Matthew Dawes' Story
Matthew Dawes moved to Lyman four years ago to be with his wife, and in that time, he has developed a deep love for the town and its community. From the welcoming neighbors to the charm of downtown, Lyman quickly became the place he and his family are proud to call home.
Although the couple had considered relocating elsewhere, after thoughtful reflection and prayer, they realized Lyman was the right place to put down roots. It is here that Matthew is raising his family, engaging with the community, and investing in the town’s future.
Matthew believes strongly in the values that make small towns thrive: family, hard work, and looking out for one another. These values guide his approach to leadership and service.
Running for Town Council is not about politics for Matthew — it is about service. He is committed to supporting families, helping businesses grow, and preserving Lyman’s character while planning responsibly for the future.
Lyman is more than a town to Matthew; it is home. He is dedicated to ensuring it remains a place where families can flourish, businesses can thrive, and the community continues to be welcoming and vibrant.
